Whenever I read (and re-read) the Thursday Next novels, I always see them in my mind eye as an 'anime' in the style of Hayao Miyazaki. I imagine Thursday as a grown up version of Nausicaa or Chihiro; I see other characters in the book in generic 'Miyazaki-esque' images too.

Both mrs. SkidMarks and I are fans of Mizazaki-Sensei. I find that idea interesting. I have never thought of the TN books like that, but I suspect I will next time.
