Is there some form of innuendo which is not rude ?

Right, looking good for Sunday the 1st, then. Yes, Haworth is open.

Claire's going to come, and of course I shall be there. Sarah and Skiffle; even if David can't make it, there are these things called trains, which will whisk you from Sheffield to Keighley in just under two hours, at the princely sum of 8GBP for a day return.

Further details will be posted as soon as I've worked them all out.

P.S. - I looked into the possibility of relocating Haworth Parsonage to New Zealand, but JurisFiction said they'd already moved Middle-earth there and one transcontinental scene-shift was the quota for one millennium.

I'd come (never been to Haworth) but it's a bit of a long way for a day trip. Plus, I'm working.

Are we still planning a meet up for a signing?

Sorry - can't make it but to those who can, have a wonderful time.

Maybe this should be an annual pilgrimage to give those who have to travel plenty of notice to make arrangements/days off work etc?

Sarah and David, I'd love to have a lift, thank you for thinking of me. If you can cope with me giving a definite answer as late as possible, I still don't know whether I'll be up to it, I guess if I do manage to get I can sleep for the week after.

Would there be room in the car for one more, I was going to invite a mad friend but won't say anything if there isn't room.

here's crossing everything in the hopes I'm up to it, just please don't expect me to run up any hills.

Andrea...

Andrea: that's fine... as I say, David's at the mercy of his ex anyway.

Skiffle: if there are any last-minute problems, I shall ring you and we'll arrange to catch the train. OK?

Jon: do we have precise times for this omnium gatherum?

Sadly, it's *much* to far for a day trip from here. In fact, the trip would likely take a day in and of itself.

Although I am still a newbie on here, I would have liked to come, but I'm away that weekend.

Hope those who do go have a fab time, Haworth is wonderful!

I look forward to hearing all about your adventures when I return :-)

I need to do a little research, which I will do just as soon as I've read all the Ozy and Millie cartoons .... (www.ozyandmillie.org) ..... I'm up to August 2001 ...

David's car could be getting a bit crowded.
Dave, Sarah, Skiffle, Andrea (if well), PSD (if he still wants to come along), Andrea's axe-murderer friend (if invited). At this rate, we'll need to hire a people carrier !
But *not* the Fiat Multipla; it's one of the ugliest vehicles I've ever seen.

Just got back from a weekend away. I'll be there.

I can also offer floor space (beds even) at my place if people
(Dante ?) want to come down on the Saturday. Not sure how I'll
be travelling yet as I've probably not got a car on Sunday but
Dave and I will travel together if he's going (not spoken to him
either). I'll get back more definitely later when I can tell properly
what offer of lifts etc. may be possible.

PSD: You're welcome to come to Leeds if Dave's car from Sheffield
will be full.

Ooh... very tempting - thanks Rob - and I can get a ticket for 40 quid... but I better not. Because then I wouldn't be able to justify coming down again in a month for a signing.

Dante; signing venues still unknown but 'Scotland' definitely features. Details of the Haworth meet will be posted shortly; stay tuned.

I was thinking of coming down to one of the Northern signings, to meet yez all. And because I'm too shy to get stuff signed on my own... I'd just lurk around the bookshop and wibble.

(The only thing I ever got signed was by Neil Hannon, and I just thrust a postcard at him, didn't say a word...)

ATM I'm not sure there is going to be a Northern venue .... we may all come up and stay with you, yet.

That would work. (must get a flat soon, then!)

As long as Jasper doesn't do a Pterry and only go to Inverness.
