I believe we have some Cananadadians here;

October: Canada! Short tour of festivals in Canada to support The Well of Lost Plots launch. Rough details are below.

October 16th to 20th - Calgary/Banff Festival
October 21st to 27th - Vancouver Festival
October 26th to October 30th - Toronto for International Festival of Authors.

as advertised on Jasper's What's New page.

I also note that the WOLP tour of the UK now speaks of the South, the Midlands, Wales and Scotland. Oi! what about us, then?

Quite right too. We don't want any old riff-raff turning up.

Being an upstanding pillar of the community, I'll happily countersign Jasper's visa application and use my influence to get it through...

Well, yes. Got to keep the riff-raff out, y'know.

Hmmm... Toronto is closest to me, but still about 6 hours each way, plus the time it takes to get through customs.

Well, I'll have to apply for a Yorkshire visa in order to come up and share a few pints. I'm still trying to work out if I can make it to Hay this weekend...

And if you think Canadian customs take time, wait until you've tried learning some Yorkshire ones for the visa...

Actually, customs getting into Canada is fairly straightforward. The delays these days are in getting back into the States when you want to go home.
