This is just to say thanks to jasper for visiting the Hay literary festival and for the very funny and insightful talk he gave there, and a very special thanks from the sponsors for the book which we're already fighting over who will get to read first as we're all big fans.

P.S. hope you liked the doughnuts!

Aha! This may explain why the Fforum is quiet today. Is everyone at Hay?

Mmm, donuts.

Welcome to the Fforum...you're not from the Toast Marketing Board, are you??

Anyone who can be is at Hay I expect. My parents are bakers, hence the sponsorship, but it's a very small bakery and only realy does the Hay area and is in no way connected with the Toast Marketing Board, although we did do toast for him (It got cold and was thrown away, sniff!)

He didn't eat the toast? Pah. He's just trying to *be* Thursday, now.

(*grin*, in case anyone missed the intended jollity, there...)

I don't blame him, it had been made well beforehand and was probably a bit horrible by the time it reached him, but at least it got pride of place on the table on the stage. Unfortunatly no pics from me for Whatever next because I didnt have any film, anyone else get some?

Hi T_B - lucky you to be at Hay! Certainly where I wanted to be but situation didn't allow it.

Maybe the Fforum's quiet because people are out looking at the strange yellowish object in the sky - it certainly had me fooled for a while!
