Thanks for the warning! Cuddly wildfowl will be kept well out of teeth range.

It's not fair - I want to come!

Adam: Surely you persuade Dawn that you won't get anything useful done on Sunday for wandering what we're up to. Also, that you'll achieve far more on Saturday if you've got something to look forward to on Sunday and will do loads next week after a day off...

Rob, have you been married before?? My husband keeps trying that one on me, and I'm sorry, but I just don't buy it! (but then again, I know what a slacker/procrastinator he can be if I don't watch him! LOL)

I'd never get away with that, not in a month of Sundays.

Well, it seems as though I'll be joining you all on the train from Leeds. This is because Bob Dog is a poorly dog (you don't want to know the details .... suffice it to say I shan't be scratching him for a bit) and his owner will have to stay at home and care for him (good job she used to be a nurse, then, cos it could get icky).

Since the ex-nurse and dog-owner is the only driver in the family, I shall be forced onto public transport, travelling sans wife and dogs.

So I shall see you all at about 11.00 am on Leeds station. (It's the Skipton train we want, btw; it'll go from one of the lower numbered platforms, possibly 2 or 3).

POOR BOB!! Hope it's not serious. And poor Claire for having to stay home with him. How's Mia handling the whole situation? Is Bob contagious?

Mia's probably oblivious, eh?

At least Claire is still "allowing" you to attend LOL...of course it would look really bad if the planner couldn't show up to his own function hehehehe.

Hope Bob feels better soon!

I hope you all have a ffab time... it's the one weekend in the next six months when I have things planned (typical isn't it?).

I have just been on touring around the south west corner of England on holidays, and I must say it was a very Nextian trip. Never realised that Leigh Delamere services do actually exist! (Hubby couldn't understand why the shriek of merriment as we drove past the sign either!).

I expect to see photos in the next Whatever Next.... please!

AAC: I think an argument could be made that Claire has had a lucky escape from meeting a bunch of lunatics, weirdos and misfits...

Clairet: It's only reading the last two posts that I realised that you're probably a Claire T. I'd always read it as Clair-et - a Claire who's small and cute. Of course, you could easily be all of the above.

we'll see you at Keighley station Jon, as we'll be driving.

I assume we're picking you up, Rob?

Jon: the combination of Ben's hair and my hat should be unmissable, so I think you should be able to find us on the train! (Not sure if you and Ben have actually met in person.)

I'm going to make a bid to borrow David's digital camera, but since he has to take the children on Sunday he may want it for Alton Towers instead. Watch this space, as they say.

Presumably a Clairet is a small minty, woman who's good for your breath...

I am no such thing PSD!!! I am as rob suggests a Claire T, and I too suffer from the lack-of-imagination virus and couldn't think of a suitable ID... one day I shall, and thoroughly confuse the lot of you :-)

Good news! Bob has visited the vet, and appears to be much better, so it looks like I will be bringing Claire and the dogs with me. Which means I'll be in the car, so don't be looking for me on the train from Leeds!

Superb. Pick Adam up on the way, tell his beloved that it's important wedding prep work...

Damn and bother!

I can't make it after all, as I'm suddenly drowning in work that needs doing by Monday. Ah well, at least it pays the bills . . .

So, have a good time the lot of you, and take lots of photos . . .
