Paradoxical Paradox

So, Landen disappears from Thursday's life and this is the reason that Thursday learns to bookjump, saves the world, meets a bunch of important people, sets Jack Schitt free, etc...
If Landen comes back, will Thursday have done any of this? Will it all be...*gasp*...boojummed?

Hmmm! Opinions anyone?

Because Thrusday remembers Landen she will still have done all that she did. Either that or the whole space-time continuum will implode and we'll all be nothing but dust. Granted, that is a worse case scenario.

I can think of worse things than the whole space-time continuum imploding. Being forced to listen to 'Agadoo' for 24 continuous hours, for one........
1 hour would be enough, to be honest

I've seen Black Lace live, and knew most of the words to most of the songs. I'm still unsure whether to be worried or proud...

They have other songs? Coo.

My mum brought home from Tenerife a bootleg CD of Spanish party songs, including a Spanish language Agadoo. Terrifying.

Black Lace? I thought they were the publishers of a series of dirty books which my book club seems to think I would like to buy at a discount every now and then. You'd think they would learn, really.

Let's face it, any band called Black Lace has got to be a bit dodgy, even if they didn't sing songs like Agadoo. And I agree. One hour would be MORE than enough!

My (admittedly traumatised) memory seems to recall them as being a pair of Timmy Mallett A-Likes with a drum machine that stole the show in terms of charisma...

Timmy Mallet? Nooooooooo!

It's those glasses I'm afraid. They scare me.

I'm afraid so. The guy from Black Lace does look scarily like Timmy Mallet in those glasses. I think he was last heard of touring in one of the Bucks Fizz bands...

Bucks Fizz, Black Lace, Kajagoogoo. Where did they get these names from?

Inquiring minds want to know

The only thing I know about Kajagoogoo is that the singer was called Limahl - which was an anagram of his surname - Hamill.

Forget worrying about names. I'm far more worried about Limahl's hair !

Kajagoogoo were named after baby speak but I don't know why.

Surely there must be a town, somewhere out in the Australian bush, called Kajagoogoo?

To the west of Kajagoogoo, far beyond the old black stump
There's a shady little billabong where camels get the hump
And 'neath the spreading gum tree sits a bloke who wears a snarl
He's the bludger known throughout the land as Daft Haircut Limahl

Oh, you can cross the Simpson Desert, or sail the Tasman Sea
You may search in Parramatta, you can look through all Coogee
You can beachcomb in St. Kilda, walk through Kings Cross if you dare
But you'll see no sight as frightening as that bludger's scary hair.

Hee. I like.

What's a bludger? I mean, I'm presuming you're using it in the "bloke" context (or possibly w@nker...) but I've only heard it in Harry Potter books, being a large ball (er...) used in Quidditch...

Ah. My handy dictionary gives the following definitions:
(and it does say Aus/NZ - I'm impressed!)
1) a person who scrounges
2) a person who avoids work
3) a person in authority regarded as ineffectual by those working under them.

Hmm. That third definition sounds like it could come in handy, I must remember it.

I agree! How do you manage to come up with those off the top of your head while you're working? I don't find impromptu poetry a problem at weekends, but I can't do it in work time even if I have an inspiration.
