Have to agree with AAC, was 32dd at age 15, and have only grown since then, it was cool at 18 til 21ish, but am now sick of not being able to find anything that fits and looks ok. am young enough to care a little about fashion, but have noticed they don't cater too well for the 36e/f bracket.
conspiracy?

One of my friends is a re-enacter (I was disappointed not to see her in a wimple, as she's built like a Weeble. In the nicest possible way...) and got one of her friends to make her a corset for her. She liked it that much that she's now having a leather one made.

In a 44EE!

I know it's normally considered bad form to advertise, but... our site (www.doublerainbow.co.uk) does every back size from 28-56 and every cup size from AAA to J (shortly going up to JJ when we get in the new Silhouette ranges). The site is still in the process of being completely revamped (no pun intended there), so the new pictures aren't up yet, but you can certainly order from it. If you don't see exactly what you want in your size, e-mail us and ask - chances are that we can get it for you.

Einalem, we have a lovely manufacturer called Panache who will solve all your problems; they do a very extensive range called Superbra which includes many styles in all sorts of colours, from 32DD to 38G. They're also not expensive. I wear lots of them myself, and I also have a good friend who takes a 34FF and is very happy with them. If you want to spoil yourself a little, there's also Ulla, a German firm who cater for back sizes up to Wagner-soprano and make gorgeous lingerie in really good quality fabrics, also in a range of colours. You'd be at the small end of the Ulla scale. If you order something from us and it doesn't fit, you can return it and we'll give you an exchange or a refund promptly and cheerfully as long as it's in saleable condition.

Andrea - would you be interested in doing some bra testing for us? We need people in a range of sizes to review lingerie so that we can put as much information about it on the website as possible. In exchange for reviews, you'd get the option to buy the products at cost price if you wished. No hurry to decide, but if at any time you're interested, please let us know.

As they say on BBC when advertising the Radio Times - "Other purveyors of tit-carrying devices are available...'

Well, that isn't what they say, but you get the idea...

Lots of upperdeckerflopperstoppers on our site, I promise - and what a wonderful word! It sounds like spoof German. :-)

42F, or 42FF here. Darling daughter is a 34DD and has been since she turned 13, we're built on the same lines, but to differnt scales. Couple of years ago a young lad tripped on some steps and landed in my chest (I was coming down), instead of saying sorry, he gasped and asked what size, I told him and he went of with a beaming smile. Clearly I made his day.

We used to call bras over-shoulder-boulder-holders.

You are not forgotten... every now and then I make noises to David about how you might like to review a bit of Ulla! (Actually, there are some styles in Silhouette which would probably fit you too, but you might have to get a 42E in that make, since they are known for being rather large in the cups.) Hang it, I really need to come up with another suitcase full of bras... and would you like to tell everyone the story of the taxi driver or shall I? ;-)

To get even more like the Discovery Channel, go to [www.widdy.demon.co.uk] and click on 'Twanger' for the infamous Rainbow episode...

(Note for Americans and other strange beasts: Rainbow was a children's TV show designed as a rival to Sesame Street. Taking the Ernie and Bert relationship to a new depth, Rainbow had a pink hippo, a big bear who liked to wear skirts, and an S&M soft toy gimp whose mouth could be zipped up. No, really.

The 'Twanger' episode stooped to new levels of depravity, and has entered folklore. Unlike the 'Captain Pugwash' myth, this one is terribly, terribly true...)

I don't speak many words of German, but while in Berlin many years ago, I saw a shop display of bras. They were labelled as 'bustenhalters'. It seemed rather a good description - certain busts do need haltering.

I was browsing in a local bookshop, along with another woman, when a sales rep came in. He was trying to talk the manageress into stocking a book about Beethoven. In an effort to convince her, he was offering some advertizing material to put in the shop.
"I can give you a lovely bust," he said to the manageress.
Self and other woman desparately trying not to burst into giggles.

The ol' 'Over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder' is pretty popular down here, but being that Aussies tend to be a touch cruder than most, the 'chapel 'at pegs' become "Bricklayers thumbs'.

Hubby likes sports bras. He says they're so soft he doesn't know they're there.

Take that any way you wish.

FWIW, I was a C cup by the time I finished puberty (back when I was thin), D by the end of college, and 15 years and way too many pounds later I am currently a 42G. Can't say I'd really like them smaller, since they balance out my hips fairly well.

Howevery, I've just started working out and dieting last week, so hopefully that will slowly reduce to something more reasonable. Not that I expect to get back to the 36-26-38 figure I had in early high school, but nonetheless there's a lot of room for improvement.

I have an underbodice for one of my italitan reniassance dresses which works pretty much like an elizabethan corset, and it does create impressive results.

All I can say is... wow. (This is because I'm not allowed to use the M-word which is banned in poetry!)
