"Boggle". I doubt whether many cats would accept these costumes...

We bought Spitfire (of blessed memory now departed) a reindeer 'hat' complete with bells for Christmas one year.

She did not appreciate the time and trouble we had taken of the choice of gift.

Kiser has one of those, he's very pleased with the attention it brings him, and the crisps

Why would someone want their cat to look like a chicken? I don't find poultry that cute!

I have a feeling that any cat not drugged to the eyeballs would shred them instantly.

Heidi would definitely shred any of those, very fast and efficiently.

Klinsmann would disappear at the speed of light if threatened with such a costume, but he'd definitely be hoping I put it on one of the other cats so he could sit and laugh.

Chomsky is so stupid he probably wouldn't notice (aaah, bless!).

Minsky, however, would plead justifiable homicide later in court.

Er....does 'package' mean the same thing in British slang that it does in American?

I couldn't help but laugh reading:

Gentleman's Package
The least that handsome boy needs. Essential anywhere and anytime, office(!?) and party. Perhaps for nice girl too. Easy attachment and detachment with velcro.

(if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, look here)

I've seen these before!! Except not all of them. I WANT THE NECKTIE one!! I know I need to update my website, but I take TONS of photos of my kitties. And I'd love to get Odin in a necktie. I think he'd look quite dapper. And knowing him, he probably wouldn't care after 5 minutes anyway. I put a walking harness on him and he could care less as long as he gets to go outside or gets to play with a new toy.

I think I could make them @#$%& than they sell, though, that's for sure!

I'd also hate to explain to Customs & Excise why I wanted my cat to have a dress up costume if they opened up the parcel. Importing from Japan must bring some interestingly priced taxes!

Ah, Japlish. For those of you who don't already know this site incredibly well I'd recommend a visit.

I'm planning a visit to Japan, and I'd love to bring back some Japlish stuff. :)

There's also [www.engrish.com] - they put up a new post most days, so I generally check it every day just to see. It's a brilliant site!

Heeheehee

That's one of the best sites I've seen in a while -- I particularly liked 'Should I stay or should I go now' (see 'Recent discoveries')

Oooh, I'm showing me age again

Nothing wrong with your age - it's the same as mine, isn't it?

I'm not complaining about me age (or indeed my algae, as it came out first try), I've just noticed over the last few years that it's pretty easy to pinpoint peoples ages by what films/bands/songs/books (though much less so) they like. And I wouldn't have thought it would've been, but it nearly always is.

And we all thought we were such individuals.

OK so here's a challenge. Can you work out how old I am from the following 3 favourite songs (and i'm not telling you who they're by cos if you don't know you haven't got a chance)

1) Teenage kicks

2) Debaser

3) Come up and see me . . . (aka)

Well, it's midnight on Friday, a guy's allowed a teensy bit of exaggeration, surely?

Hmm.. good one there. I would say 36 or 37. I feel I have to state a slight disagreement with the generality of it though. For a start I only really got into the musical stylings of those first two music makers about 3 years ago but I still enjoy Slipknot and Linkin Park. On my more mellow days its Mozart, Gilbert and Sullivan and John Lee Hooker.

And films lead onto a whole different kettle of piscine species, how about White Heat, Singin in the Rain and Solaris?
