Thank you very very much! Assuming people are going to Leeds? Is anyone planning on decision making soon? Actually, I could do both while I'm down...hmm...and then go to the Glasgow one. And probably scare Jasper...does he have any stalkers yet? Can I be first?

What kind of chocolate do you prefer, Rob?

I thought that Mr Ff read this forum, if that is the case he'd know that I am getting married on 11th July and going on honeymoon for a couple of weeks after (I'm sure I've mentioned it). You'd have thought he would have arranged his schedule around my wedding wouldn't you?

Just noticed that my "decision making" comment looked decidedly snidey, and wasn't meant to be - apologies! Blame the nerves...

My impession is that book tour schedules are decided more by the publisher than the author, although the author probably has some say.

Looks like Leeds from the evidence so far. Dante, if you're bringing chocolate, that means I won't have to do it! It's rapidly turning into a Fforum tradition, and long may it continue. :-)

Once this is sorted for definite (which, of course, it can't be until Mr Ff is absolutely sure he knows where he's going to be himself), Skiffle and I will need to talk about trains... unless there is some kind soul with car space who happens to be travelling from, or via, Sheffield. If such a person exists, could you please give us a little wave on the Fforum and let us know? We'd be soooooooooooo grateful - thanks!

Looking at the tour page, it says details are released on Friday. Then we can sort out what we're doing. I'm definitely going to Leeds.

Dante: Whatever's fine by me. I may have to work some of the time but now lectures and exams have finished, I'm pretty much on flexi-time.

Dante: Mail me as and when you want, to sort out details. I've tried mailing you but it bounced back. "Timed out."

Ooh? Wonder if it's to do with the "upgrading" they're doing...

I'll wait to see the confirmed dates and times, and find out if people are going to both days, then try and sort out some details. Ta!

I see the confirmed dates have been posted now. Damn and blast, still can't make any of them! I think I'm going to be having a serious envy thing of you lucky people. :)

OK. Waterstones in Leeds is central - about 5 mins walk from the station. There's loads of restaurants etc around there.

I'll be going there from work and then for a bite to eat afterwards. If other folks let me know what they are doing I can organise anything accordingly...

oh got to go to Foyles to buy my ticket then, the king's head is walking (10 minute) distance from my flat so that is quite cool.

ooo and I haven't had the official invite yet, but my colleague told me I'll be in the team for the other launch... Let's say croquet is involved...
:-) That should be fun.

no idea when or where that will be though, so can't give any more inside info...

Yeah, I will tell you the details when I have them, but so far all we got was an email to one of my colleagues and he asked me if I want to be in a croquet team
:-)

Rob - I shall be in Leeds. What time do you reckon I ought to get there? I'm pretty flexible about travelling, because even if David doesn't want to go, there are plenty of trains.

Yes, Leeds looks like the place. Do we need to book in advance? and, what's a good place to eat afterward? I'm planning to invite Jasper and Mari to come and join us after the signing, if they can face a horde of fforumites. More details after I get back from Wales.

_Afterwards_?! This thing doesn't kick off till 7 pm, and it's not likely to be short, is it? Wouldn't it be better to eat first and then maybe fforegather for drinks afterwards, so we all had time to digest our meal before attempting to sleep?

Bah, Foyles still doesn't have any tickets. I'll go back on Monday. Don't worry Sue, I'll get you a ticket.

Sarah; well, yes. However I'm not likely to be in Leeds until 7 pm anyway, so I shall miss the eating part.

The floor is open for suggestions.

(PS - unless I can persuade one of my Yorkshire customers they need some training that day ...)
