The Detroit Pistons (NBA) don't play in Detroit either. Or even terribly close. They play 32 miles away in Auburn Hills.

That's not as silly as the Minnesota Lakers moving to L.A. (where there is very little water at all) or the New Orleans Jazz moving to Utah.
