The Da Vinci Code is out on the first too...

It's going to be my results treat - my results are out at 4pm on the 1st, so I'm going into town just before to buy the book :D

I drink to drown my sorrows. Unfortunately they've learnt how to swim.

Books are launched any day of the week. There are mumbles in the publishing world to take all publication days to Thursday but whether it will happen on not, I don't know.

Many book sellers sell books before the publication date - if you've got a load of books in your stockroom when it could be out on the floor selling you'd shove it on the shelves, wouldn't you. Unless a book has a strict embargo, that's what seems to happen.

I remember when Joanne Harris's Coastliners was published last year - the launch party was on the actual day of publication but I was able to tell them that the title was already at number one because of sales already made the previous week!

I got 'A Devil's Chaplain' a week before it was released earlier this year. I'm hoping for an error somewhere earby with Wolp, but I'm not over-optimistic.

This is the work of an Italian narco-anarchic collective. Don't bother insulting them, they can't read English anyway.
