I'm a grandma! Anyone want to name them?

I'm so excited! Our German Shepherd delivered six puppies this morning!!! One on our bed, three one the couch, and two in her birthing tub after she woke us up (we think that's what she was doing on the bed). She was doing great when we left for work, so we may come home to even more little darlings!

Does anyone have suggestions for names? We have at least 2 boys, 3 girls, and 1 unknown. Zoe was cleaning her/him when we left, and we didn't want to interfere. We already have Bailey (our cat) and Maisey (our chihuahua).

Thanks so much!!!!

Just think of the possibilities.

for boys:
Landen, Bowden, Spike, Microft, Hades, Joffy, Anton, Orville, Wilbur....or there's always Jasper.

for Girls:
Thursday, Cordelia, Polly, Wednesday, Aornis, Tuesday (Granny Next)...

for the Unknown: Pickwick

Speaking of which, why is it that on Thursday's family tree it says that Granny Next died in 1968, but Thursday is talking to her in 1985? Is she in the Chronoguard? Or is the theory about Granny Next actually being an older version of Thursday true......?

I'd not heard that theory, but it kind of makes sense...

I though she was with the Chronoguard, or am I getting confused?

Ahh, but didn't Granny Next get cursed with not being able to die properly until she'd read the most boring classics?

She may well have officially expired. Looking at that family tree has anyone noticed how Anton appears to have died twice (1972 or '73, depending on whether you view the web or WOLP)

An interesting thing is how Granny Next refuses to go and meet Thrusday's mum in WOLP I thought, in that context.

She's registered, and her name is "Hurtz Princess Zoe." Our chihuahua is "Maria's Maisey Anne."

I've always wanted to name a dog "Stay"

Just think, after a few months of you shouting "Come here, Stay!" "Come here, Stay!" at it, the poor animal would be so confused it'd either undergoing personality therapy or on a course of anti-depressants - we'll probably see it posting on this very forum before too long...

I once heard of a dog that got itself named 'bucket', as that was the only word it answered to.

The thing about German shepherds, right, the thing is, they're better than lonely goatherds.

Yes, that's my coat, thanks.

Got a head count - 4 boys, 3 girls. We're sooooo excited. We're thinking of Zeke, Bomber, Jack or Jake so far. Sophie for at least one girl. I do like Pickwick, though. Of course, these names are just till we give them away.

We still don't know what daddy is. They have thick chests and heads and are solid black except for white splashes across their chests. Zoe is black and tan, as were both her parents and litter mates.

If you're going to give them away, what about A, B, C, D, E, F and G? Or perhaps Albert, Bruce, Colin, Douglas, Edward, Frederick and George.

You have to name the weakest one Dangerfield, after Dangerous Newby, one of John Brown's "pet lambs".

Except that people'll think it's after a low-budget Warwickshire plod series...

How about Beech, Ackland, Cryer, Burnside, McCallister and Chandler?

I'm writing all these down. I'm still unsure about naming them - I don't want o be too attached. Hunny is already sooo sweet on one of the little boys.

Dangermouse, Penfold, colonel K, Nero, the crow fellow whose name I can't remember (help, please) and Baron Silas von Greenbach!

What better names can you get? (and blame Intrigue for them. If he hadn't mentioned Dangerfield I wouldn't have thought of Dangermouse)
