This is the continuation of the "Dates" thread. Let us now go gleefully off topic some more!

Dates. Never liked them. They're furry! Plums, definitely...

DAtes furry? Never noticed that....

If we're actually talking dried fruit here, then my vote goes to the good ol' sultana.

Most of the dates I eat are furry, but then I tend to find them down the back of the sofa. (At least, I think they're dates. The cats bring in dead voles and hide them occasionally)

I like dried pineapple... but then, I like pineapple in any shape or form!

The Bugs Bunny quote, that formed a running joke in several cartoons (Looney Toons is often on between Wacky Races and Dangermouse), is 'I knew I should have taken a left turn at Alberquerque'.

Normally this would be uttered whilst consulting a map in an unlikely location. A bull ring was always favourite.

It would save great confusion, PSD, if you were to answer certain posts on the same thread as said post. Of course, if Bugs Bunny was mentioned on Dates mk 1 then I will be suitably repremanded.....

Don't blame me for misinterpreting the Bugs thing, someone told me about it five years ago.

Does anyone like Back to the Future? I'm watching it now! Gotta go!

I like 'Back to The Future', but haven't seen it for ages. Last night I watched 'Serial Mom' and tonight it was 'The Tall Guy'. Two great comedies.

Intrigue - I didn't mean it in a "Hah! Wrong quote!" kinda way...

Mor emy reminisces about cartoons.

Oh, and apparently Garfield shares my personality type. I realised why today when I saw the animated cartoon.

"What have I done this week?"

"Monday - slept. Tuesday - slept. Wednesday - slept. Thursday, er, slept. That was a pretty packed week - I need some rest."

I still watch bugs Bunny on occassion. The occassion is usually when one of the kids pulls one of the Looney Tunes videos out of the shelf and puts it on, but I never find an excuse to leave the room. Especially if the Road Runner and the Coyote are involved.....

I love Back to the Future... Though I keep missing BttF 2 every time it's on... I've seen 1 loads of times and 3 a couple of times, but never even a bit of 2! One is tha best though, apparently... Any opinions?

One is definately the best. Two was the weakest, but it did set things up for three, so I guess it served it's purpose.

Great Scott!

Sarah B, I had the same thing going with 1. I saw 2, 3, 2, 3 over and over until I just went and hired 1. Then it all made more sense. I like 3, even though 1 is better. Cowboys, a flying skateboard. If only that DeLorean wasn't destroyed...

I've got a couple of frames clipped from a print of 3. I've seen them all, and 2 is actually better the second time round. It's still something of a filler, but on second viewing, I was expecting that, and could enjoy it more for itself.

Biff: "Now make like a tree, and get out of here!"

I think that BttF 2 has the equal best portrayal of an alternate 1985.
