I have to tell you that the list of things that are worse than a slap in the face with a wet fish is, like my legs, quite short.

that's one thing I'll definitely take your word for. New experiences, yes, wet fish... na.

We shall now perform the Fish Slapping Dance. (My favourite Python sketch, and not just because people can't recite it at parties).

I'm a handy pocket-sized 5' 1". I know a couple, Greer and Dave, who are respectively 4' 10' and 6' 3" (or thereabouts). I keep expecting to see him tuck her under his arm like a bag, and walk away.

Hubby is 6' 2". My eight year old son I have not measured of late, but he is up to my ear and gronwing quickly, so I just don't stand next to him too often.

Thanks for the link, Ptolemy. It was ..... interesting.

I'm 5'9" tall and hubby is just a hair under 6'. Works out nicely for us.

My siblings are odd:
1 brother is 6'4" and has a 25" waist (can you say STRINGBEAN?!)long thighs/short calves
1 brother is 5'7" and has a 25" waist (still skinny) just short
1 brother was 6'2" and had a 30" waist (skinny but getting better)long thighs/short calves
1 brother is 6'3" and has a 32" waist (skinny but has a tiny belly) long thighs/short calves

1 sister is 5'11" and trim but not anorexic looking - long thighs/normal calves
1 sister is 5'6" and slightly pudgy - long legs/no torso
then there's me 5'9" and built like an Amazon on steroids-balanced torso but long thighs/short calves...I'm in shape...round is a shape, right?

my mom was 5' 1" tall on a good day and my dad was 6'3" but had short legs

I take after my mom's mom's side...short fat little Irish/Swiss people combined with my dad's height.

Yes, AAc, round is a shape. It's definately a shape. And a very good shape it is, too. And so is round with little extra bulgy bits. That's a VERY good shape.

Wilfred says could he have the fish? (hic!)

I'm 5'7", but most of that is leg. I wear extra long trousers and petite-fitting jackets. Until I put on some weight, I looked like an improbable kind of dolly peg.
