It's really very disappointing when you have finally read all the threads and now have no reason to continue on. So I'm starting a new thread just for the sake of hearing my own .... keyboard.

I have to write an essay on Churchill now, I'm at school.

Any pointers?

Ummm, in which context is the essay. Churchill the WW2 English Pirme Minister? Churchill the decendant of Native Americans? Churchill the useless git that buggered things up at Gallipoli?

If it's any help, I'm in a library for the next hour "working" and can look up anything you want the old-fashioned way.

Nevermind the Churchill thing, I was just making conversation.

If this is a thread about anything, can anyone tell me who built the Auckland Town Hall Clock? I think it might be my great great grandfather...

Back to Churchill (Sir Winston).

His racing colours (for his horses) were pink and brown because he was eating raspberry profiteroles with chocolate sauce when his secretary asked him about them. It makes an awful rugby shirt (neon pink and chocolate brown quarters). Dave could attest to this if he wasn't on holiday.

I believe he did some other stuff as well...

I don't remember a clock when I was in Auckland. Of course, it was 1986, I might have forgotten a few things...

I can't even remember one and I live here! I can even see the city from my house and I still don't know about one!
