My ex-manager wasn't actually very good, but he made the right noises. He actually used phrases like 'singing from the same hymn sheet'. I think it started as a joke and he got into the habit.

I was gobsmacked/annoyed by a form for producing a CV (resume), which asked what ideas I might have contributed at work, and how I 'conceptualised' them.
