Electrons - they have unique sets of quantum numbers in an isolated system. Swap any two of them and you couldn't tell the difference. They're identical. If I go from my house to your house, I haven't changed, just moved. The numbers have their own problems, the electrons are identical.

:)

Electrons have a unique set of quantum numbers in an isolated system, but exchange any two of them and you can't tell the difference. The numbers have their own problems, but the electrons are identical. :)

I know that - I was just trying to introduce a spot of quantum uncertainty!

Right. That's Electrons sorted. What about Klingons?

Well, they all seem to be quite sure where they are and where they are going at the same time, so we definitely don't need quantum mechanics here.

Actually, I don't normally need quantum mechanics anyway. All my quanta seem to be in perfect working order!

I guess with all those lovely undies to choose from, they'd have to be.

So, anyone giving odds on a baby-boom in Eastern America/Canada in nine months ? I'd put a tenner on that.

Excuse me, Ptolemy, I think you'll find I never mentioned England. Ptheh. We have far better power cuts up here. Um.

We do. They're accompanied by fine single malts, Crabbies ginger wine, um, and a lot of swearing

Crabbies Ginger Wine? You should be drinking Stone's!

*looks doubtful*

Has ginger wine got alcohol in it?

Flanders and Swann again! They're nearly as quotably relevant as Half Man Half Biscuit.

My dad used to make ginger wine. I think he must have told me it wasn't alcoholic so as I wouldn't steal it.

That sounds right - it's brilliant for keeping out the cold (and Crabbies is really truly much better than Stones, Aunty Sassy!)

... I do mean ginger wine there; if ever anything was open to gutter interpretation...
