Valentines, personals and other romantic guff...

Yet another year without any cards, although at least I didn't send any and make a fool of myself as usually happens...

However if anybody wishes to brag about their own romantic gestures (given or received), or has seen any really good ones, then feel free...

I did, however, half expect to see something somewhere saying -

"To TN, always in your memories, LPL"

(That's enough soppiness from me for this year)...

At another forum we exchanged some secret valentine messages, serious and/or funny, and I got one :)

At the moment I really don't care though... I'm just feeling like that :)

Hey, I didn't get any cards either and I'm married! You sort of wonder what it's all about...but I'm not complaining because my husband is a very kind man and always does unexpected and generous things. I eat more chocolate that anyone else I know! And he says things like 'It's too commercial'. I agree. If not getting any cards leaves you feeling empty, don't even worry about it. There's bigger stuff out there.

I got my usual number. You want to guess? It's a very round number...

Mildred got a couple though. It's very sad when your dyslexic dodo gets more more valentines than you.

i got a card, an email, and a little home made paper... but they were all from the same person so it doesn't count...

i cooked a meal and will be taken out to dinner in a month or when a project is finished.

I got a Nextian valentine from the "Reader's Digest"! Well, what else do you call it when St Valentine's Day brings you a copy of "Jane Eyre" and a single orchid?

Wilfred nearly sent a valentine to Mildred, but, perhaps fortunately, he couldn't get the poem written in time. It seems he has competition, which I think is just as well... I can't imagine that most sensible lady dodos would want to go out with a drunken penguin.

I had a nice Vday, I went to see my brother, whose girlfriend lives even further away than mine (Okinowa sp?). Which does prevent me from bemoning my not so long distance relationship.
Still, I got the same number of cards as ever, and being terminally unromantic, didn't send any either. Still, we're going for a weekend in Vienna soon which should be nice...

HA! Here's a thread back from the dead. Can you smell that musty corpse-like odor? Wonder what ever happened to these ancient fforum geezers with their sad valentine's posts.....

What's that you say? Let the cadaver rest in peace? NEVER!!!

MMMMMMUUUUUAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

What is romance supposed to be these days?

Does anyone have a specification?

You might be able to find one in the book of love, but it's hard to locate a copy since books in the Great Library are filed by author and there's some debate about who wrote it.

Yikes, 2003 was a bad year for VD-
of course I mean Valentine's Day, for those who have fallen into the gutter with me...

Didn't Ozzy say goodbye to romance long ago?

I missed the only troll we've had... I'm kicking myself, I really am. Shame it was such a dull one.

Oh well, If I need a nice fflame, I can always jump onto a starwars board.
