Just don't eat the rhubarb leaves! Definitely not a good idea

My dad grew rubarb in the garden at Adlington, by the time I escaped it was more of a weed.

Hi everyone. I'm Joe, and I always type intros like a generic script of a character appearing at their first AA meeting. For those of you that understand American politics, I'm a little blue spot in a medium sized red state. To put it another way, I'm a Democrat living in the heart of Bush country. I have a very British sense of humo(u)r, meaning when I make a joke, no-one in my neck of the woods gets it. (Most of these people think 'Monty Python' is the star performer at the all-male review down in Charlotte, NC.) Good to be here, thanks for having me.

Joe

Welcome, Joe!

It was actually on Chris Moore's forum that I was told of Jasper's books. A happy coincidence!

Hi Joe

Yes I am also a Chris Moore fan. I might wander over to that forum sometime.

In the meantime, help your self to some specially baked New Year virtual Pie.

I love brussel sprouts AND alfalfa sprouts AND bean sprouts - Yum!
I also love rhubarb and apple crumble.

The word rhubarb always makes me think of Veggie Tales and the Rhubarbarians, hehe.

Never had alfalfa sprouts, or rhubarb, but I'm sure I'd like 'em. I love brussels sprouts and bean sprouts as well.

I eat darn near anything, spinach and pumpkin I'm not to keen on but will still eat (under semi-duress), patty pans and brussel sprouts are out.

Other than that I'll eat what you put on the plate. ;)

Hehe. Guilty as charged. But then it's a waste to send them back if I'm still hungry anyway. Right? Right?

And ecologically very responsible of you - reducing (or just postponing?) the amount of organic waste.

MartinB, seriously, I think I will have most of my meals with you this semester, just for the joys of you eating my chips instead of them going to waste! :P

I must say it is a good way of not wasting anything on the plate!

By "chips", do you mean what we Americans call "french fries" or what the Brits call "crisps"? If it's fries, then Martin, you can have mine as well!

Yes it is fries... chips are what we call them... Martin will scoff the lot!

Hmmmm I can't remember if I ever did one of these.

I've been an infrequent lurker for about a year and once I posted a bunch of technobabble about forums which embarassed me so much I disappeared again for about 6 months.

My name's Terri, I'm in Dublin (Ireland) and I am in domestic servitude to 3 cats and a large scotsman.

I've worked in Telecoms for the last 17 years and have finally discovered that I should have gone with my first career choice even if the money is bad.

Can't sing, can't act, can dance a little.
