(Yes I also do maths, at a much more basic level than MS but it, possibly because I'm not overly good at it, is not my favourite subject. Hope it gets more interesting than plain calculus soon.)

German.... I really need to go to Germany again, my German is getting very rusty here.

A mentat needs data, although not neccessarily that much.
As for maths, I even managed to flunk maths in the dumb-kid class at school. Although it would probably have helped if I hadn't been sent out of every class as well.

Hi, I'm Lea Moon, your zesty, citrus friend. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I teach children how to use computers. I am married to the ever-patient Mr. Moon, and we have three cats (one of them, Winston, has just crawled into my lap) and a dog.
I try not to climb things, owing first to a fear of heights, and secondly to a tendency to fall down. The second thing kind of feeds the first.
I am also a photographer, writer, and editor.
I like to knit, read, and swill coffee.
My favorite authors are: Jasper Fforde, Harper Lee, Marian Keyes, Elizabeth George, Connie Willis, Lauren Willig, Cynthia Heimel, and Bill Bryson.
I despise pickles.

Nice to meet y'all!

Lea

thank you for the pie.

I must say that it does not go so well with mashed potatoes and spring greens as my favourite (steak and kidney).

Perhaps I should try it as a dessert?

Wow! it really works that way. All I need now is a soup pie and I can have a three course meal - all under pastry. Yeah!!

I've seen those servings of clam chowder (or what have you) in a bread bowl; would those count?

Hi, I'm Christine, aka yello_cello, and I live in Canada. At the moment, there is forty inches of snow outside my window.

mmmm. chicken pot pie.

Much as I love clam chowder, (never had it in a bread bowl, though) it would lack the vital pastry top to make it a pie.

There was a fad a while ago for serving meals in a giant Yorkshire pudding. This seems to have died back to the odd supermarket special and some pub-grub now.

And yello-cello, welcome! Help yourself to pie. Sweet to the left, savoury to the right, soup in the middle. Someone will be along with tea and cake soon.

Hi Yello!
Would you prefer tea or cocoa? (I thought that you might like a cocoa option since the snow might be close to your windowsills, and when it's that cold and snowy, I like cocoa...)

Robert, I think it should be chow-da.

Jon, I have an idea: what if you had some baked pie crusts to take with you? You might could make anything into a pie! Whaddaya think?
