Hi, Mrs SkidMarks! We've heard stories about you…

Now, are these chocolate fish simply fish-shaped chocolates, or are they fish-flavored chocolates, or actual fish made of chocolate?

I've always been suspicous of angel fish....

Wonder if they fight with devil firefish.

And do they come in Crunchy Frog?
Don't mind me, it's just too hot and smokey to sleep so I'm a wee bit spaced right now!

(Ah, that's the solution... Alcohol!)

To me, mrs SkidMarks liking of Cadbury's Chocolate Fish is very strange. They taste like furniture foam dipped in chocolate.

There was a short-lived thread about my attempt to get some for her here

and you can see them here

No, I don't think you do, Martin.

Bonzai, why is it smoky?

without the chocolate it'd be like compacted marshmallows, probably nicer melted over a fire.......or if you do it with the fish the chocolate might drip off

Or, put marshmallows and chocolate between two graham crackers, and you'd have a nifty s'more after you melt it.

Why am I hungry?

Tell you what, Martin, I'll suck the chocolate off and hand the marshmellow over to you. How's that?

Mooxica, Kitten is all smokey because of the massive bushfires in Victoria. We have a similar problem here in TAssie, with firestorms and fireballs and stuff. Gotta love an Aussie summer.

Thanks, Kaz.
Ugh! I hate it when the fires start! Though, sunsets are pretty then.
However, clean air is better.

We have the same problem in southern California in the summers. Unfortunately, people haven't figured out how to build houses out of the way of the paths the fires usually take, so we're always hearing about people being evacuated in the nick of time. (No deaths for the most part, at least.)

We have brush and forest fires in New Mexico, too. Nasty. We also get the air from the Arizona fires. It's interesting how hazy it gets from fires that are burning hundreds and hundreds of miles away.

Hmmm, chocolate! Yums! I wants chocolate!

Fires... hmmm going to be going through burnt areas soon, had a fair few fires in August/September/October this year though. Makes it rather nasty to breathe... fumes get to me!

Ummm, hello everybody. I just joined today, though I have been lurking on and off for the past few months. I've just been too shy to actually join. My real name's Sinead, and I live in Texas. I'm a junior in high school, and I have the feeling that makes me the youngest one here (from what I've seen anyway). I first read The Eyre Affair in...early August, I think. Yes, because I wanted a reason to procrastinate doing my summer assignments for school, and it looked good. That didn't really go well, since I read it all in one sitting, but then I found out there were three other books, so I was very exited. =)

So, umm, hi?

Hi Sinead!
Welcome from next door in New Mexico (and currently, for this weekend only, 2 miles from the Texas state line)!

Hi Sinead,

as one of the oldest on the fforum (but not the oldest) I can tell you that all age groups are well represented and so far muggings have been kept to a reasonable level.

Pies are in the virtual oven, so please be patient. (If you try the apple and sausage pie you might be a patient)
Cakes and drinks will be along soon

Welcome Sinead.

Yep, the muggings are running consistently at about 100% at the moment. It's a record we're proud of. In fact, if you have any work of that sort you'd like to contract out, we'll be happy to send Big Martin round to meet all your philoperforatory needs.

Cake?

Though probably that should read
