Ffordian word and letter game

Ffancy a game?
Single words only
Must be Fforde-related. - removed rule 24th April 2007
books (both series) and web acceptable. - rule becomes redundant after above
word must start with last letter of previous word.
(E.G. Fforde -> Ed (Bruin) -> disturbinglyavidffordeworshipper
I suggest that if no-one follows on within 48 hours, the last poster is the winner and gets to start the next sequence.
Let's start with
