<Recommends high(ish)-pressure air to clean sticky keyboard. Advises that a potential source of compressed air is the local auto service station, where the handy fore-court attendant may, if asked nicely, clip an air-blast nozzle to the end of the tyre-inflation hose for you.>

<Warns STRONGLY against holding high-pressure nozzle too close to keyboard and recalls watching enthusiastic proponent of very high pressure air for computer cleaning, strip off half the surface of an elderly printed circuit board in one quick pass.> <True story. It was only a $20 56k modem card, but still...>

As aforementioned sticky keyboard is at local library they may just make some comment on me taking some of their equipment for walkies.

They definitely objected to me bringing in fire hose to clear out slow moving processors.

[A bit of history: in 1973 Brisbanme was flooded. Sounds familiar doesn't it? A friend at IBM said that to clear the computer room at IBM which had been flood inundated - read 'left the room full of muck' - they merely turned on the fire hydrants and washed the 360s and 370s with water and let them dry. I was told that it restored about 95% functionability to the centre.

Do not try this at home , children.]
