<rolls eyes and points out to Martin that I had a concussion and a broken wrist but only played the clarinet in Cabaret - no singing possible as only one set of lungs and mouth therefore didn't need to know the lyrics!>
<The hospital didn't pick up the broken wrist until three days after a four day run of the show - hence playing with the broken wrist!>
<it's 'the' hospital as the hospital in question hasn't diagnosed three broken limbs at the time of three of my direct friends, so it is a bit infamous!>
<Twas my own fault really, the very big horse and I had a break down in communications over a jumping issue - he went one way and I went the other! I got the concussion by breaking a four by four post with my head on the way down - quite impressive although mum thought the snap was my neck - not so impressive! I was out for about 3 minutes and have never been that dizzy in all my life>

Yow! Yeah, don't argue with a horse about jumping. Not a good idea--I've tried it. Once I fell off sort of sideways and twisted, coming down on my back on a crossrail, which came down with me. Could have ended VERY badly, but fortunately all I had were some sore neck muscles for a few days. And that was a nice horse, who always tried to do what I wanted!
Yep, nothing beats post fall aches and pains! It was a silly big thoroughbredy thing I was riding at the time with a reputation for being 'difficult' - guess I was just one more notch on the stable door!
I took my nice pony out for a gallp tonight as he was feeling a bit full of him self as he has lost a lot of his winter coat, nearly ran over a sheep but luckily avoided the collision at the last moment!
