I think it's a US versus everywhere else thing.

It is one of the two most expensive properties on the board - the other being Mayfair, they are the indigo colour of property and sit either side of the super tax? (correct me if I am wrong but I haven't played for a couple of years and doing this from non photographic memory!) They are just before go, if you type in Park lane monopoly into google images it brings you up a picture of the card but after a quick glance couldn't see one of it in context, if I find a monopoly board somewehere soon I will take a picture!

"I think it's a US versus everywhere else thing"

Well, obviously Park Lane itself is the British form...

Oh, and personally I've always described the colour as dark blue (in contrast to the light blue of...memory test here...nope, failed, Wikipedia tells me the light blue group is The Angel Islington, Euston Road and Pentonville Road - in Britain), rather than indigo, but I suppose it's much of a muchness.

Aye. Park Lane is the second most expensive site on the board. I'd call it purple... but maybe indigo is a better term. £350.

I think the other one was Joubert, Martin.

I can not remember. There definitely was a Joubert Street though.

Have not played for ages. And they have all been changed now for the new version.

I think my parents may have a set of the old version somewhere. I should get that.

Don't ask me, I've got all kinds of US set versions, ( to disney, to the 7oth aniversery....)

but I don't know anything about any versions outside the US. I'm so uncultured!
