Ah, I feel sorry for you, I would have died! My mum bought the originals on video from the supermarket to watch while she tackled the mountain of ironing, I said how sad! I watched, and thus began a new chapter of my life! I was totally hooked!

LeonardQuirm-- I had the same problem a while back when I made a post about chickens playing tic-tac-toe in ca-sin-os. Must a spam-blocking thing working overtime.

Also happy as my second placement has just finfished and I passed my crit - miss the kids and school tho!
Also got my first choice of Local Authority for my probation - so yeah!

Nemades... Have you ever been to AFP? I used to be a regular there until it switched to beta. I think you might get a giggle out of it if you haven't seen it!

I just HAD to bring this thread back because it's less than 72 hours until 'Star Wars Day' at Comic-con and I can't waaaaaiit! Leaving with son for San Diego tomorrow to go and spend 3 days in geekNirvana.

Right now this minute my favorite Star Wars is the Robot Chicken episode (Seth Green is brilliant! And the model makers are going to be at the Con, calloo callay!) but on a normal day it's definitely Empire (the unedited version).

Walking out of that theater and knowing we were going to have to wait YEARS to find out what happened next is one of the memories of my childhood that will never, ever, ever fade.

Thanks I will check those out!

Lucas can't write for beans but when you are 10 years old, you just don't care...

It's easy to write him off as a bad writer, if you ignore what a good editor he is. I personally dont like the new starwars (big suprise, no?) but the old ones were excellently put together. You barely even notice Leia's changing accent...

Thank you, SkidMarks, for that ultimate Geek Litmus Test. Hilarious and hideously painful at the same time.

<blushes modestly>

I actually think that Lucas is a reasonable writer: he steals from the best sources. (O.K. dialogue is not his strong point).

The trouble is he is a hopeless director and no-one was willing to tell him.
