Yes, I already almost got kicked out of the forum for that.

<closes windows tightly with waterproof seals>

I admire you for quitting, Chris. I've already lost three grandfathers to smoking-related illness.

Thanks, LT. Sorry to hear about your grandpas. Did they live in smoggy cities, by any chance? Just asking. I promise you shan't get a dash with the fire hose if you say "No, Chris, it really was the cigarettes that killed them."

(Chasing Bonzai) I can never resist ball tag.

Comments to yourselves, please.

Er…three grandfathers, LT? How did that happen?

Oddly enough, it didn't even sound wrong to me. Of course, I have more than one family and several siblings in each of em. I suppose I assumed it was something like that but a couple of generations up...

Cities wouldn't be smoggy if all older people in smoggy cities became terminally ill. All three smoked! What a coinkdink.

Denial!

Denial!

Denial!

That seemed an odd line of logic there DAFW. And possibly could have been done with a little more sensitivity, seeing as we're talking about *real* people here.

I don't mind the lack of sensitivity, but don't understand why our Daffy thinks that old people cause smog. As an old people myself, I will admit to causing mayhem, bad smells and crimes against fashion, but not smog.

Just in case there's any truth in the second-hand old person rumors.

Even when damp I don't cause smog, so all the dousing will do is make me smell musty as I dry out!

Well, we could roll several meters of plastic sheeting down a steepish, smooth slope (honestly best to avoid thistles!) add some Fairy liquid and turn Chris's fire hose down that instead? Any takers? Oh also, very important - warm sunshine!
