We were there, were you?

there seemed to be a group of Ffestivalers/Fforumites, but they were too deep in conversation for us to interrupt them.

However mrs. SkidMarks and I would be keen to know who was there.

I was there, but as this is the first post I can remember making on this board, that will probably mean nothing to anyone lol

As does using my name in vain. What was that about Martin?

I said you could have the next coupe newbies. Since you left the last two in the Intros thread for me.

So therefore this one is yours. :)

Wow - long time no post.

There was a group of us at the Manchester signing that used to post on here quite a lot some years ago ... don't think any of us were at the Ffffestival though. I was one of the two people singled (coupled?) out for extreme embarrassment at the beginning of the signing. All great fun though; we had a great time and it's always fabulous to hear Jasper speak.

Welcome back and belated congratulationa!

I was the short fat one with a walking-stick at the end of the queue for the signing. The pretty lady with the looong hair was (and still is) mrs. SkidMarks.

Besides the signing we took the opportunity to deliver what is possibly the first ffan-to-author giveaway postcard. It is a very limited edition of one because my pc crashed after printing but before saving the image and as it was made up of about 20 layers there is no chance of repeating it! (Yes I know, intermediate saves blah blah I keep telling people, but that is for them, not me.)

I think I know who you are ... did your wife have a Jurisfiction t-shirt on? If so, we were right behind you in the book signing queue. With Rob and I were Jon, poetscientistdrinker, violentViolet and Skiffle, all of whom used to post on here pretty regularly back in the day.

Very cool regarding the postcard. We'll have to actually introduce ourselves next year!

Wow there are some names I've not heard for a while, has Skiffle written any books lately and how are ViolentVi, Jon, Rob and Ben? (PSD)

Wow....

How long have they been gone?

I also take it that Ben's Guide to TBOE is not getting anywhere?

Skiffle left before I joined. The others I remember.... Except maybe Rob. Might be getting confused.

Jen's just pointed me toward this thread. It's been so long I was surprised I remembered my login - or indeed that the Fforum remembered me.

Anyway, I guess you're right that Ben's guide to TBOE is still a work in progress.

Skiffle is still writing books - it's the first time I've seen her for a couple of years; a Jasper talk in Sheffield a while back.

Jon, Ben and ViolentVi are all doing well. I would post more often but now I can't get on the Fforum at work, it's finding the time...
