just curious here– how often does he add corrections to the book upgrade page?

i sent in one for TN3 quite a while ago (1-2 months maybe) and no sign of it has appeared...

And its possible that the correction you sent in wasnn't an error, it was a deliberate mistake. Or a deliberate feature.

wwi?

it was for the well of lost plots (i don't know if UK/USA versions matter)

aw heck; i'll just copy and paste body of the email

Recently I noticed an error in the US Viking Edition of The Well of
Lost Plots; near the top of page 116 Libris says "...Ultraword™ is
reverse compatible...". While this is not strictly an error, as I
consider myself knowledgeable in electronics and software I must point
out that "reverse compatible" is not the correct term. The correct
term is "backwards compatible". For reference please visit
[en.wikipedia.org]. I have never
heard it using the word "reverse" and Wikipedia says nothing about it,
nor does searching "reverse compatible" redirect to the backward
compatibility page.
Obviously, this is not a heinous error, but I felt it my duty to
point this out, as per your instructions on your book upgrade page.

Possibly it's because the word 'Backwards' doesn't contain the word 'Verse'?

reverse compatibility, backwards compatibility, downward compatibility... It's all the same anyway isn't it?

IMO, the fact that reverse has verse in it i find unlikely, though it's possible.

and as i said, it's not really a big deal; it's just that reverse and downward aren't the actual terms.

Um, they are over here... maybe it's a quirk of the various forms of English.

both fot the Realworld(TM) and the joke value.
