Oh, dear, just saw pictures of the flooding in England on the bbc, with several pictures of people wading around without rain boots on. Please don't walk in that water, folks!!! Not if you can help it! Not unless you want to give those lovely parasitic worms a home, that is...
Just looked at some video of both areas and I hope everyone is o.k. Had relatives flooded out by Katrina and the cleanup is no joke. Keep safe all who are near the areas and don't go in that water unless absolutely necessary!

Hope they are both OK. I also hope that the friend who is in Texas planned to be there and didn't float there, or something. ("I was *in* Oklahoma, and NOW look!")
It seems to be raining everywhere but in New Mexico. See, if you hadn't all been so selfish, it would've been spread out more thinly and none of this would have happened.
Seriously, I hope everyone's okay and nobody's stuff has been soaked (that didn't need cleaning to begin with, anyway).
But it must be raining *somewhere* in NM, Chris! Or else Channel 13 is just getting wacky with those flash flood watches in northern NM. Well, knowing Channel 13, they're just getting wacky. Never mind.
So, Chris? Are you heading up to Denver to see Jasper on 2 Aug.?
This sort of brings it all home. Although my quibble is that the media has been all over these floods like a rash, whereas it took them 3 weeks to realise that 30,000 were affected by floods 3 weeks ago - but it WAS up here in the North, where we're used to privation and suffering! Not that I'm bitter or owt.....

The Gloucester one was when I last texted him on monday, staying half way up a hill, miles away from the floods.
And yes my mate in Texas lived there before the floods
Well, grab my ears and call me a pogo stick. So it is indeed raining somewhere in NM. I suppose I'm a bit out of touch. The last time I watched television on purpose, channel 13 was doing a report on whether or not Atari games were harmful to children. I guess that qualifies as wacky!
I don't think I'm going to make it up to Denver, as we're playing on 8/2. Kind of a bummer...I'll bet Jasper's a fun chap to harass, especially at that altitude. Are you going?
BK, I know it's going to sound strange, and beyond belief, but evidently, rain is water that falls out of the sky. I know, I know. It's weird, but I saw it for myself today. It's true.
Chris, I'm sorry that I won't get to meet you up there; however, I'm glad you're playing. I hope to come out and hear you soon.
I also hope to drive up to Denver next week.
Oh, dear.
Hmmm.
It's that rare stuff they use to put out the wildfires. The stuff that isn't slurry or foam.
They used to give it to you in restaurants (in a glass) at the start of a meal. (I was so surprised earlier this month, when visiting Chicago, when I was given a glass of water when I sat down at a restaurant. I hadn't seen that in years. I felt obliged to drink it, so as not to waste it.)
