Greetings, fellow Battenberg Cakers!

We have a listing of birthdays - see thread 'Happy Birthday'

Perhaps we should also have a thread of locations, as some email addresses are not informative. I use Hotmail cos its where I started years ago and I am energy conscious (read "too lazy") to change.

This will allow us to make adjustments to compensate for different cultures. For example, for Queenslanders we would type more slowly as they don't read as fast.

Just give: Name, State/county/suburb, Country

For me its: Bunyip, Broadview South Aust, Orstraylya

Once upon a time Martin started a Frappr map here...since then the nice people from G**gle changed the format to a flash animation. When I tried to look at it just now, I got nothing but "Image unavailable". Do you need to join to see something nowadays? I won't, because Goliath allready has more than enough information about me!

Anyway, if you get it to show you something, maybe you recognise one or the other of the names.

Oh Houseinthe woods:

Two memories from your location thingy.

Once when driving around Cambridge(UK) one way streets 30 years ago I passed the Quakers (the Society, not the breakfast ffoods) building and they had their sign on the wall as individual black letters on a white background. I saw in my rear vision mirror that the 'r' had dropped out of 'Friends'. I could not work out how to get back to that point to take a photograph.

Gave it a completely different meaning and I still have trouble today with the 'Society of F iends'.

Other memory - is Pinawa anywhere near the Canadian Atomic Energy facility? I have a feeling my cousin moved to reside there when her husband took a job with the Geological part of the proceedings. This is 35 odd years and two head injuries ago so I might be slightly astray.

mr puniverse, or anyone else of that name.

Please advise me: If a Kit Kat is a Biscuit, what is a Tim Tam, especially the double choc ones?

I'm 20 minutes drive from Kitten. Detailed eh?

I'd estimate maybe 55 + to bike ride? depending on the weather, traffic and if the roads are on time.

And only twenty minutes drive from Puniverse, too, Bibwithart! (although I think by bike you are looking at an hour and a half, minimum... The roads aren't that hot, and there are a LOT of hills.

Maybe it's time we victorians had a meetup?
