I'm current reading Sequels. And I ran across this today.. I'm not sure how the book world would take this: [centripetalnotion.com]

While it is an amazing visual, it does offend me slightly! But as long as the book is not a Great Library copy, I think we are safe.

Welcome to the Fforum, sedition.

Help yourself to pie. If that mob over at Chris Moore's place haven't munched it all down there is some key lime and the minced beef and onion is fresh, hot and delicious.

This person should be locked up.

Can you imagine what the dwarves would do to him on Discworld?

I would not let a person with the idea that books should be used as base fior carving into the house. Wghat moral difference is there between these actions and those of a child cutting up a book with scissors?

It ain't art - it's cultural vandalism.

I like it.

Old out of date encyclopedias are good candidates. Just don't hack up a set of Britannicas. I love my 1974 set of Encyclopedia Britannicas. Beautiful leather bound, color pics, great writing. I use them all the time. Wikipedia might be more up to date but the Britannica has it beat hands down for the writing and pics.

I could see a set of used World Book Encyclopedias @#$%& and cutting them.

I don't particularly like the idea of cutting up books, but remember what Terry Pratchett said about the big book pulping machine.

Surely those books are better turned into art like this?

At last. A use for Readers Digest abridged books.
