So…anyone else picked up the new Terry Pratchett book, Making Money, yet? I got my local small bookstore to order it, and I raced down there when it came in yesterday, but owing to the need to sleep and do homework, I'm only about halfway through it. But I'm liking it so far!

There are a number of posts floating around recommending which ones to try first--at any rate, Making Money is a sequel to Going Postal, so don't read it first. But definitely give Pratchett a try!

I've got the Waterstones special edition of Making Money, but as it doesn't have the Ankh Morpork money, will be getting a normal copy as well. (Thank you, mrs. SkidMarks!)

I have promised not to start reading it until I finsh Chris Moore's "A Dirty Job", so should be starting it round about Tuesday.

Bugger.

Now I've got to get enough time in hospital to read both FAS and the new Pratchett.

Last week they told me I'd be done in day surgery, and what reading can you get done in the time? I'll have to have a relapse.

Please, mr. puniverse, tell us that you have read the first two Tiffany books.

(And around here, Nem, October is a month, not a week.)

Ha ha ha Skids!

In teacher talk it is up there with Easter, Christmas and Summer as a fantastic week off! In other parts of Scotland you get two weeks off at October as it has something to do with picking potatoes and even though the kiddies aren't needed to bring in the spuds any longer they still get a holiday. Despite only having one week I am still praying for a hole in the space time continuum to land me there sooner - the kids are lovely in my class by the SMT are a pair of absolute witches!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to vent but I am on the brink at the moment!

Never Bonzai... but you will get to read the rest of the story.

By the way... on the radio today, a business reporter in a throw-away comment mentioned that skirt hems were moving and that was a sign of a bad economy. Now, MM was the first time I"ve heard of that, so I suspect one of her researchers has read the book...

Good point, I had to leave the reading at half eleven or I wouldn't get home, lol.
I must remember to buy some AM cash from the Cunning Artificer.
