My mother told me to read Jane Eyre before I read the Eyre Affair, which was good because I had tried to read it when I was, um, 8? and I just got bogged down and swore that I wouldn't ever read it again, much less bother finishing it. Then I wound up loving it. From Jane Eyre I got into the other Bronte books, and actually managed to pick up Pride and Prejudice (a book I had also sworn off, simply because I'm anti-romance). I'm much more interested in classics than I was pre-Fforde.

This Fforum, on the other hand, introduced me to TP, and now I is hooked. :)

Tari!

Where did you spring from? Am I going nuts or have you not been around for a while?
I am quite prepared to believe I am going nuts.
Oh yeah, I haven't been around for a while, lol. That might be it too.

Kitten: My money is on the nuts theory, but Tari did appear again. Yay!

Let us hope that Tari does tarry a while.

Welcome back. And front, middle and any other bits not previously accounted for.

Am reading Jane Eyre right now! Took me a couple of years to get to it, so far so good ^_^
Hey Tari!

Hallo all! *warm fuzzy feelings*

Yeah, I've been lurking. I had a helluva semester. But there's just finals left now. Don't ask me why that means I can procrastinate more....

Eventually, I think I might get around to reading more of Jane Austen's stuff.

Persuasion is the best. Anne rocks, even in the 'alternate' ending. Emma is a brat, and Fanny is a nonentity. Arguments welcome...
