Dodo's forever

Hello Jasper, and Jasper's fans,

I am the webmaster of an online spanish comic strip whose author is a great fun of your books, the other day he introduced a very nice homenage to your books in the middle of his "slices of life" strip named "Wasting Time". The strip scope is difficult to describe but you will most likely like that precise strip (which came together with a laudatory text praising your books, in spanish of course).

The comic is here, [www.efeweb.es]
any feedback from you will be most welcomed, (there is some way of leaving comments on the page, a bit rudimentary, I know), but in anycase keep up with the good stuff,

cheers,

Efewebber

PS: I try to keep up with the english translation, but up to know i am a bit busy, in anycase, that one does not have much text....

Not much text?

I found 'ploc' (and its threefold repetition) quite an erudite monologue compared to many a discussion I've overheard down at the Pig and Whistle on a Friday night.

Well, the comic made sense.

The rest was all Greek to me.

Learning Spanish is on my todo list, but since a lot of stuff is all Greek I am thinking that that might be a better option....

Hello,

ohh, yes, I didnt lie on the ammount of text, actually PLOC is probably just what one would love to hear from a Dodo.

Sorry for the spanish, but, what the heck that is what the romans made us speak (roughly) a bunch of years ago. Greek also sounds greek to me, amazingly enough, which basicly means that if you wanna learn spanish go for spanish, if you want to understand sophocles ... read it translated!.

Thanks for the comments, and now a confession: reading Fforde is on my TODO list as well, my only relation to him is through the Dodo's whose ancient lands on the indian ocean I had the luck to visit some ago.

Ah, si, hablo espagnol! tu libro de Fforde estara en al bagno, ....
Hasta luego!

So, efewebber, welcome.

How does Osaka University come into your life? You haven't run across my old mate David Gilbey, by any chance, have you?

Ich kan Deutsch reden as das besser past?

Pity my vocab sucks coconuts due to lack of practice and my spelling is best left unmentioned.

I googled my mate and he's in Sendai, the north of Japan, whereas Osaka is in the south. My question was a bit like someone asking me if I knew Joe Blow in Darwin because I live in Wagga Wagga - simply because both are in Australia.

Holy guacamoles, Martin B, why german? why?

Robert, yes, I didnt want to say, but asking me if I knew a guy in japan...with 120 million inhabitants (well, you had a point, your mate does not seem to be japanese, but...), not easy, no.

Sendai seems to be a very interesting region,or so they say. Must say japan is quite exotic, almost as the Dodo!

(On it is the best place, because it means it is being ground under your heel.)
