I've heard of Half man half biscuit! I can't remember they're stuff too well (sort of folky?), but they sounded quite neat.

Spinal Tap's a weird one for me: I didn't realise they were actually fictional escapees until a few years ago. I'm apparently not alone in this. But then it also took me a while to realise "Stairway to Heaven" wasn't originally by Rolf, so make of that what you will....

Worst record I have is some cheesy boyband song called "Summer Girls", which I have erased any other memory of.

I once had 'Deeply Dippy' by Right Said Fred stuck in my mind for two months! Does that count? In the end I got so frustrated that I learnt the words so that it at least would be an accurate version.

I bought a Simply Red CD - all on the strength of If You Don't Know Me By Now, what the hell was I thinking?? Mick Hucknall with his girly, girly hair should have been enough of a hint!

Oh, dear, I'm so sorry. Would you like a cup of tea? Is there anything we can do?

I'll see your 3 Phil Collins records and raise you 4 Marty Robbins LPs.

Call and raise 1 Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy 12-inch (single!) and a GNR double album.

I was young and impressionable, I didn't know what I was doing. It started innocently enough with my brother's Men at Work cassette but before I knew it, I was listening to Queen's Greatest Hits and dabbling in Big Country.

Still, no-ones mentioned Steely Dan thus far...

I would prefer not to mention sex toys or anything else from a William Burroughs' book. (Stand up S*ft M*ch*ne, you know who you are!)

(Break like the Wind was the second Spinal Tap album - nothing to do with the film....)

Can I get away with my Splodgenessabounds cover of "Two Little Boys"?

Toy Doll's "Nellie the Elephant" has a certain staying power YouTube

Hmmm, wonder if I should mention BAY CITY ROLLERS?

Ah, probably not- you'd much rather hear about the disco collection that surrounds it...

How about bagpipe music?

And folk songs of England/Scotland/Walse/Ireland/Norway/ just about anywhere else?

My grandmother has a few Harry Seacombe CDs and records that really mess me about when she plays them. I keep expecting Blue Bottle to come in...

At least it's not Max Bygreaves that your grandmother has!

Bernard Cribbins did some a few nice comedy singles back in the day. They were very funny. I've heard 'Hole in the Ground' and 'Right Said Fred'. Excellent.

Surely you can't go past Benny Hill's "Ernie, The Fastest Milkman in the West". And yes I do have a copy.

Ever since I heard that Rowan Atkinson released an album or two back in the day I've been trying to find a copy. Everyone seems to be denying its existence though, which can't be a good sign...

Well, there's a vinyl of his single on Amazon UK marketplace.
