I've been trawling the web for the last year for more information regarding this film. I get worried that it is going to be the latter, especially as there is so little info still about the production eg. who is in it etc. I just hope they get the characters to work and I cannot imagine how they could compress the plot into a few hours.

I want to see that scene with the cats and the candles in heads scene!

They'll probably have to finish the script before they start casting it. Is this a possibility for the cat scene?

I just reread that book, and it was just as good the second time. I'm terribly excited about the movie--I think it could be really good if it's done right. On the other hand, it could be pretty awful…

My concern is that it isn't exactly an action packed book, and the movie peeps will either be a) TOO faithful in the depiction, and the movie will go nowhere for the first half an hour, or b) go overboard in alterations and make Die Hard with magic in.

The first Die Hard was class....

I liked Die Hard 4! O.K. brain out, sloppy, unoriginal, poor cgi..... I don't know why I liked Die Hard 4, I just did.

I like Porco Rosso and that only vaguely has one, so perhaps I will just consider it as an optional extra.

Jackie Chan? That is plotless, or has a plot but nobody cares eg. The Armour of God.

Yes, but (shhh, keep this under your hat) it's somtimes advisable to divert Kitten away from a topic where she may actually occasion some harm (to herself, others, the world, alien races, etc.) and my reference to a cartoon show was an attempt to do this.
