Egads! Don't you know that without us nerds the world would be a far poorer place?!

What would a nerd do with a hole?

What would a nerd do with a hole

Theorise that the hole itself has no mass, and hence try to accelerate it to light-speed, then examine the to see if it turns black. Then theorise methods of getting to other planets by putting people in holes then accelerating holes to lightspeed, then write the equations on paper. Write a program to do equations for you. Lose interest. Watch Doctor Who.

With regard to holes and what you can do with them:

I'm going to a Philosophy Club meeting next week at which the subject is 'Nothing', which is apparently different to a hole in the space time continuum.

If there is a chance that there can be derived a mechanism by which matter can be transported a la Star Trek then there is a possibility of making duplicates of things.

If this works tell Kitten to bring chocolate.

I'll bring Johnny Depp too... Then we can all have one.

Oh, and Andy? That was beautiful. But you just lost the game.

That's good, because I had no idea we were playing.

Remember, it is not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game!

But losing sucks all the same.

The joke is that there is no 404.

404 is the error for a page not found.

I love xkcd....
