Ah, Martin. Is he one of the special people? We mustn't build walls here; it's a shared roof under which people of all beliefs can coexist in harmony and make daisy chains.

As long as this doesn't degenerate into an argument over Superman Returns it will all be fine.

I left before the end of the credits... What did I miss?

Samuel L Jackson asking Stark if he's interested in the Avengers project.

Is it Indy 500 time again.

I missed the Daytona 500 but we had the Clipsal 500 mit der V8suppercars here. Much more speckky than Indy but unfortunately a driver in the support series hit the wall at Turn 8 and eventually died of injuries. Not nice.

Before long it will be Bathurst 1000 time again and another year will be over.

Leaves more time for chokky and cake and wine and other essentials.

Hmm. I have been bombarded with constant quotation from a certain relative for the past few weeks. Regarding a certain Indiana character.

Well, it is not so much the heroes or anything. Just the continuity and the constant killing of the same people. Who are then revealed to have been clones or something.

From what I have read DC is generally better at that.

So I have nothing against the heroes used, just the continuity behind them. Does that help divert the avenging mob?

And yay! Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is out next week! Looking forward to it. The other Indy movies were released in cinemas before I was born if I remember correctly. :P

I like DC more myself. They have been doing a lot of killing and resurrecting recently though, and comics are ultimately very repetitive so I get bored.

Go, Iron Man, go! I'm looking forward to Indy 4 too, and I don't care what the reviewers say. Moooooo!

<Definitely a strange strange mood today. Beware.>

Going to go tomorrow I think. Indy! Yay!

So, was Indy good? Just in general as I haven't been yet and spoilers are of course diabolical in nature.

(The ducklings have been taken away for their own good. We have been deprived of window entertainment. Shame.....)

I liked it. Put it like this, if you enjoyed the 1st and 3rd you will probably like this one.

It wraps things up nicely and has lots of impossible things happening. And of course the Russians are excellent graduates from the LucasArts School of Gunnery.

I still think Last Crusade is better. But this is also pretty good. :)

Excellent! Is it really odd to have preferred 'Temple of Doom' out of the first three?

Not a clue. I preferred the other two. Temple of Doom just had a different feel to it that I did not much like.

Will give it another chance at some point.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has quite a bit more humour to it though. Just as an aside.

Ah, I like it due to the lack of Judeo-Christian symbology but then I'm nuts.

QUACK QUACK.

Wibble.

Since Ford is now 62 years old or so I can't wait for the continuation series, like Indianapolis 500 and the Cup of Milk.

Followed by 'The walls are Hard when the track is Wet'

At the risk of sounding dated already...

I liked it.

In an "it was never going to be Raiders" kind of way.

But didn't we already know that?

I actually like the Crystal Skull, but I was the only one I know to do so. I've been slightly annoyed by people who claim it didn't make much sense. Have they not seen the Indy films? They've always been popcorn blockbusters, not grand cinematic classics of acting and writing, dang it!

End of rant. Go about your business. There's nothing to see here.

(Hulk is next).

The difference between a popcorn blockbuster, which can be enjoyable, and sloppy wrting/editing/cutting though, is quite important! I expected better of speilberg, if not necessarily Lucas.

Well, I'm assuming it's not Raiders... Is it at least better than Temple of Doom?
