The world's greatest exponent of Mornington Ceescent has died. He will be missed.

Much agreed!

I wonder if in the afterlife they are rearranging the schedules and arranging for panel members?

If so, who would you expect?

Humph as chairman, JSBach at the keyboard, but who as panelists?

Well, as Willie Rushton went on ahead, I vote for him to be in the celestial version.

Hear hear! Willie Rushton was brilliant!

Agreed! Willie Rushton for sure, but who else?

Dorothy Parker?

After her response to the challenge of using the word 'horticulture' in a sentence and she said: "You can lead a whore to culture but you can't make her think" I feel that she has the agility and extensiveness of language to adequately fill a place.

Coincidentally, for those in Oz, John Cargher has just died, aged 89. He retired last week after presenting 'Singers of renown' for 40 years, and also 'Music for pleasure' for who knows how many years.

Like Humph, he had a sense of humour, but was exceedingly dry, and I, for one, will miss his programs.

We are poorer for the passing of people such as these - full of knowledge, erudite and informative.

RIP

Hmm. I've been thinking about Celestial ISIHAC and in terms of linguistic ability I would say Ronnie Barker. He wasn't known as an improviser though, more of a scripted performer.

If we can pick anyone up there or down there, my votes go for Peter and Spike.

As much has I liked the Goons, the Q series and all, I don't think Spike would be as good as Mr Cook.

Maybe Marty Feldman as a regular attendee, if not permanent member of the teams?
