Blackwells loves Jasper

Don't know if I've mentioned this before but I work at the Blackwells bookshop at my uni. For some reason The Powers That Be asked us to nominate our favourite books for a new promotion they've organised. Guess which wonderful author made it onto the list? What say ye to the rest of the nominations?

On another note, has anyone seen 'Potted Potter'? It's a play covering all 7 books in 90mins. It could be funny, it could be awful. I guess the fact they're playing at such hallowed venues as the Rotherham Arts Centre gives me a clue but just thought I'd check before I dismissed the show by its cover.

What an amazing list! Jasper in the company of so many of his great literary forebears. Well, three of them at least. (*Waits for pun to sink in*).

Anna Karenina! Wuthering Heights! Alice! The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Er, OK, maybe not that last one...

How come Fungus the Bogeyman didn't make the list?

Who's been sleeping in my porridge?

Well, that is the extension of the quote that Cordwangler used....

I like that one! Yes, how come no bogeymen?

*Bows to Martin for getting the reference*

Good to see there are still some Flanders & Swann fans around.

Fungus is Britain's answer to the Addams Family - a tale of nice, ordinary people who just happen to be (from our perspective) monsters. A great classic.

:)

I managed to get the Diet Song as an earworm for someone. Was most amusing...

On this side of the globe at Angus and Robertsons I noticed a copy of TEA with a 'Top 100' books sticker on it.

How can we get the other books by Jasper on to it?
