The Well of Lost Plots - Lost in Canada

My bookstore (may be a bad one) informs me that The Well of Lost Plots won't be available in Canada until October, yet it's already out in the UK and Commonwealth. Flaming Nora - I thought Canada was part of the Commonwealth. At least, in this instance, I wish it was....

I understand that you will be in Southern Alberta in October - come further north, young man, further north! I'm sure that any of our very good Edmonton independent book stores would be happy to host you for an afternoon or two!

Lost in a Good Book came out almost at the same time here as in the UK (making me feel dreadfully guilty that I had my father buy it in Portsmouth and post it to Canada, thereby increasing the costs substantially). Point in fact, I had already bought the book here and finished it by the time the UK version arrived. It was not wasted though - I gave The Eyre Affair and Lost in a Good Book to my daughter's teacher for Christmas.

Thank you Mr Fforde, for these lovely books and your most amusing website and reader interaction, which all make my mind dance and my heart laugh. Please keep Tuesday around for a long time.

Sincerely
A Happy (but impatient) Reader

It's okay - she's a Canadian. We have one in our office who does the same sort of thing :-)

Oh heavy flipping sigh.... mea culpa mea culpa mea culpa
My brain synapses just don't work the way they used to - I KNOW it's Thursday.
I can only guess that for some strange and unusual reason Tuesday Weld was in my brain, and I was writing the message on a Tuesday, and I have to get a major project at work done by Tuesday next....
That, or I'm just a total idiot.
OK, I'll crawl back under my rock now, and go and re-read the first two books so that I can have a hope in hell of being able to follow book three.
Sigh again.

Erm, today's Wednesday, Susan. (You know, loss of orientation to time is the first sign of dementia.)

I swear to you that I posted my initial message yesterday, I swear it!
(Yet when I look at the date on the posting.... oh wait, I am not totally insane....yet. While the posting time shows as 12:51 am, thereby making the post date Wednesday, it was really only 11:51 pm, and therefore only 4:51 pm in Western Canada.)
Really!

Didn't mean to confuse you, Susan. I was referring to today's posting where you said "I KNOW it's Thursday."
