Does anyone else think that Pickwick sounds like the most adorable pet??!!
I think the way they 'plock plock' is really quite sweet!!!!

Kerry, your Pickwick post seems so lonely. I too think Pickwick is adorable, if a bit on the not so intelligent side. I was very glad her egg hatched at the end of WOLP. I bet it's such a cute little thing. Hee he hee . . .

I love Pickers...she makes the stories feel more complete. But this is coming from a big pet lover. :)

I'm very fond of Pickers. So much so, in fact, that I made my own.

Sounds like a really simple pet to keep, plus you could eat it at a pinch!

I don't think there is any scientific evidence that Dodo's ever made a Plocking sound, so who's to argue? Probably something that makes fiction, fiction.

I've got the cover of TEA as desktops on my computers and the wife thinks it very strange. "Why is that Dodo on a scooter?" she asks. The only decent answers I've come up with are "Why not?" and "Have you ever seen a Dodo NOT on a scooter?"

Well OBVIOUSLY no one in their right mind would give a Dodo a licence to drive a car! *tut* ;o)

Of course they can - at least a unicorn knows how to use its horn

HA HA... ;)
I also love Pickwick (hense the user name), but then I again I like any animal that's out of the ordinary. My friend has read the books and she made a flash movie of a dodo and a wolf...(our mascots for our production company). It's really pitiful but entertaining...

"Plock!"

(Translation: "Welcome!")

Not, of course, to be confused with "Plock!" which translates roughly to "One sugar or two?"

This thread raises the possibility of a dodo/librarian phrase book as L-space and Jurisfiction are surely one and the same.

sample page:

Plock: Ook
Plock: Ook!
Plock plock: Ook!
Plock plock plock: Ook ook!
Plock-pock: Oook! ook ook
Plock!: Ook ook ook.
Etc.

Eeek!

ah, I think I've spotted an error there:

Plock-pock is actually "Oook! ook oook"

Note the extra 'o' in the final oook. A small point, but a crucial one if you don't want a banana somewhere painful.

Or, depending on the dialect, a marshmellow somewhere painful.

Or would the gist be more like 'make you feel like a marshmellow'?
