Harris Tweed - Real or Fictional?

I have no idea if this has already been mentioned.. so... ;)

Now... you'll have to (please!) forgive me if I inadvertantly say something horrendously spoiler-esque/controversial here... but I immediately claim that it was John Humphrys' questioning that made me sit up and go 'Huh?!'...!

So, with all due apologies for repetition, hesitation, deviation and potential mind-numbingly-obvious and/or shockingly unfortunate comments...

Harris Tweed... is from the 'real' world in LiaGB and TWoLP, and yet....

John "Pugwash" Ryan wrote about a Harris Tweed (Extra Special Agent) for the Eagle....

Coincidence? Irony..?!

(....or ultra-secretlast-minuteplot-twist..?!)

That's actually pretty close to how I visualised Harris Tweed in the book... perhaps I saw the comic strip somewhere in the dim and distant past, and dredged the image from the back of my mind?
