Well personally ladies and gents I unreservedly loved it. I await the stone-throwing and such with an air of resignation.

I can't get over the originality of Fforde's work and I happen to feel that the fact it has lots of 'stuff' in it just makes it a richer text to return to at a later date and explore further. I found myself getting quite exhausted just trying to keep up with all the different threads and swelled a little with pride having worked them all out by the end.

I loved the Generics: their development was really very amusing. And the jokes and such were, as usual, hilarious.

Mr Fforde, I salute you!
