Say...
Was it just me, or did anyone else expect the Bellman to start up UltraWord with 'what I tell you three times is true'?
Maybe even in verse:
"UltraWord must begin!" The Bellman cried.
He went to the front of the stage.
Then grabbing the mike from Lebris he tried
to push past the nefarious sage.
"UltraWord must begin! I have said it twice",
And the crowd began to go ape.
"UltraWord must --- "<thwack>, he fell in a trice.
Thursday Next sealed his lips with tape.
"UltraWord must be stopped! It's a job lot,
For I have some news to relate!
UltraWord throws out the Well of Lost Plots!
It will cause BookWorld to stagenate!"
Anyone want to continue?
I do have work to do.

Well, I'm no poet either, and it shows.
Yet taking a few moments and stringing up some
doggerel isn't too difficult.
(You can take 'stringing up' in more than one sense
if you like.)

A murmur ran through the huge crowd
As two birds were placed on the table
The others stopped being quite so loud
As Thursday did what she was able
One bird was described in rhyming verse
And the Generics sighed in bliss
Then the true part of the horrible curse
Was shown so nobody missed
The UltraWord bird was put down
And the characters gasped in shock
As all leaned towards the grating sound
Of a tasteless form of talk.
(don't laugh, i know it's awful)
