Why couldn't Thrusday contact Ms. Haversham via a footnote-a-phone when she found out where she was (i.e. Pendine Sands in the Real World)? Ms. Haversham had contacted her in the real world? I mean I know it would blow the "script" for her demise, but what else was stopping her?
Maybe the fact that that technology was still a new one to her simply led to her not thinking of it in time? But then she'd have been accustomed to telephones from the Outland, and the concept's similar after all... H'mmm, I'm going to have to think about this point.
Maybe she would have been aware that the footnoterphone had been bugged by Tweed, Libris et al and so made the trip to Pendine Sands herself to avoid being detected/detained.
Would Haversham have a footnoterphone with her - I remember reading that the coverage was not complete? Presumably she wouldn't have answered a call anyway because she was doing something illegal.
I'm going to go with the coverage thing, it did say that portable footnoterphones weren't everywhere, and knowing Havisham she probably didn't take one driving with her, or own one at all. On the note of Miss. Havisham...she was great, I was so sad when she died, she was great!
