The Title says quite a bit, I should have known to be afraid of 4 AM urges to parodize. That said, it's a shame to leave this on my harddrive when I can inflict it on you all. It is, technically, LIAGB based, but I reference SR often enough and I have sympathy for people who have had books ruined for them and would never do that.
So, without further ado about nothing, I present
*Lost Landen*
(to the tune of Billy Joel's "For the Longest Time")
When you said good buy to me that time,
I should have known that it was a sign.
Goliath got mad
They knew I’d miss you real bad
That’s why they screwed around and changed the time.
We were lovers from so long ago.
Broke up from the Anton fiasco.
Now ten years later,
Got a happily ever after
At least until Goliath changed the time.
You’re that voice I hear inside my head
Left over from the life we never led.
With your helpful hints
I find out about Aornis
Who wiped herself from my mind every time.
I have to go off and save the earth
And speak to Snell, for whatever that’s worth.
I still have no clue what’s going on.
But Jurisfiction’s come and it’s more than I hoped for.
I learned how to book jump like a pro.
Still don’t know where the boojumed ones go.
Landen needs savin’
So I’ll get Schitt from the Raven
That’s really why Goliath screwed with time.
I should have known it was a trap
But I closed my eyes, landed in their laps.
Ms. Havisham came to save my life
Read us out in a trice into my washing label.
There is no way for me to go back.
I’ll remain here, knowing what I lack.
He’s not forgotten,
I’ll get him back in Something Rotten.
If I can just wait for the Longest Time.
