Because. In quite a lot of places, the landing of a battlecruiser might, just might, make a change. It would be interesting, well, it would to people like us who can still appreciate a bit of something out of the ordinary. Wouldn't mind betting that if a battlecruiser did land in a lot of places, it would get blown up, nicked for joyriding in, have a parking ticket put on it, or worse yet, get completely ignored, except by people standing about in small, aggreived clumps muttering about it, and how it shouldn't be allowed.

Whereas if it landed in a small English village, everyone would try very hard not to notice it.

We're like that over here.
