In chapter 30 Stig says to Bowden "... the one woman whom you truly love is inaccessible to you..." Does he mean Thursday? Maybe I've just missed it, but has it been discussed before?
Thank you.
Given Bowden isn't the most emotionally sophisticated of guys I'd guess the way he probably follows Thursday about like a teenage puppy with a permanent blush is a pretty good indication of his feelings!
Do you need to be a Thal to spot it? Probably not!
As All American Cutie says anyway we know it's Thurday given Bowden asked her to go to America with him in TEA. 9it's a little known fact that they both decided to stay in England to avoid AAC!
Points for Stig's insight ? 6/10
Points for everyone else on this thread? 1/10
You don't need credentials to be a dictator. You just need to be really loud and really persuasive. Or you could always run for it (Vote Naomi for dictator, the only name on the ballot!). That was a fun student council election, from way back when i suffered through high school. And if pikeman's being deposed, I'm taking over. Vote JABberwock for dictator, there are no ballots!
Ok, JABberwock, you got my vote. Easily impressed by honest statement of political intent.
Incidentally, why JABberwock?
JAB are my initials is why I ask?

Well, it's nice to know I have A vote, although I might need a few more before I can convince the rest of the world how good a dictator I am (and by convince I mean the time honored tradition of free choice - you choose me or I choose to kill you and set fire to your teddy bears). As for the name, they are actually the initials of a character I like very much. Plus, I am a major fan of the jabberwock, so it was a good choice. And I'm much more in favor of a kakistocracy than mob rule, simply because the latter puts me in charge.

As long as it isn't Kafka-stocracy.
